Artist, Educator & Global Advocate Transforming Communities Through Art and Education

As a dynamic artist and educator with ten years of experience, I specialize in using art and education to drive cultural development and societal impact. My work spans five countries—Colombia, the USA, Togo, Ghana, Cambodia, and China—where I’ve exhibited art, trained hundreds of students, and led initiatives that promote inclusivity, innovation, and global understanding.

I am committed to creating innovative, inclusive projects that promote global development and peace, transcending barriers of race, gender, religion, or sexual orientation. My goal is to expand my professional network to amplify my impact and collaborate on initiatives that drive positive change.

Why do I teach?

As an educator, my purpose is to foster a dynamic and nurturing learning environment that empowers students to become active participants in their educational journey and, in turn, contribute meaningfully to their communities. I am committed to creating impactful, inclusive projects that promote global development and peace. I integrate artistic and cultural exploration into the curriculum to foster critical thinking and cross-cultural understanding, ensuring that education is accessible to all, regardless of race, gender, religion, or sexual orientation.

In the short term, my goals include enhancing the learning process of students in any community I serve by developing innovative projects that stimulate engagement and leadership. These efforts lay the foundation for my long-term mission: to contribute to global development, security, and world peace through education, ensuring that all students, regardless of their circumstances, have the opportunity to succeed.

Teaching Style

I believe that meaningful learning happens when students feel engaged, supported, and actively involved in their own education. I prioritize communication and real-life application of language, creating an interactive and inclusive classroom where students feel encouraged to express themselves confidently. By integrating artistic and cultural elements into my lessons, I foster an environment that promotes creativity, cross-cultural understanding, and personal growth.

Since I have training in teaching elementary, middle, and high school students, I tailor my approach to meet their developmental needs. For younger learners, I incorporate storytelling, music, and visuals to enhance comprehension and engagement. For older students, I focus on discussions, project-based learning, and critical thinking activities that encourage them to apply language skills in meaningful ways. I also emphasize emotional well-being, ensuring that students feel safe to take risks and make mistakes as part of the learning process.

Teaching Technique

My teaching techniques focus on student-centered learning, interactive engagement, and real-world application. I structure my lessons using a balanced mix of direct instruction, guided practice, and independent practice, ensuring that students have many opportunities to develop their language skills.
I gradually moving from teacher-supported activities to independent communication.
Additionally, I integrate multisensory techniques, such as visual aids, storytelling, role-playing, art and music to keep students engaged.

I allocate approximately 30% of class time to instruction and 70% to student practice. This balance allows students to process new concepts with plenty of time.
I motivate students by using warm language, and culturally relevant content that connects with their personal experiences.
I also adapt teacher talk by using clear instructions, and incorporating gestures (TPR) and/or visuals to enhance comprehension.

For warm-ups, I use brainstorming, think-pair-share, and games such the (Hot Potato) to activate prior knowledge.
I assess students through informal observation, peer feedback, rubrics, and communicative assessments, focusing on both accuracy and fluency.
